Job Details
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage audit and assurance engagements from initial planning through final completion
- Lead, supervise, and develop interns, staff accountants, and senior accountants throughout engagements
- Build and maintain strong ongoing relationships with audit clients
- Identify opportunities to deliver additional value and improve client processes
- Ensure all work meets GAAP, GAAS, and internal quality standards
- Participate in firm-wide initiatives and contribute to specialized industry niche teams
You Should Have Most of the Following
- Active CPA license
- 3 to 8 years of audit and assurance experience in public accounting
- Strong technical knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and financial reporting requirements
- Demonstrated experience supervising and mentoring accounting staff
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a client-service orientation
Nice to Have
- Audit experience serving non-profit organizations
- Experience with employee benefit plan (EBP) audits
- Background in the construction industry
- Familiarity with reviews and compilations engagements
