Job Details:
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
-Lead and manage financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations for venture capital funds, private equity funds, and other alternative investment entities
-Evaluate fund structures, capital account activity, waterfall calculations, and investor allocations for accuracy and compliance with governing agreements
-Anticipate and identify client accounting and reporting issues, delivering consultative solutions across complex fund and partnership structures
-Evaluate internal controls and perform risk assessments specific to investment fund clients
-Collaborate on internal AI initiatives and process improvements, and support external client proposals to help grow the practice
-Monitor ongoing changes in accounting standards and audit requirements, and work with the team to implement updated best practices
-Mentor, train, and supervise Associates and Senior-level staff, maintaining high standards for team development and feedback
-Participate in the recruitment of new staff and interns
You Should Have Most of the Following:
-Current and active CPA license
-Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or a related field
-6 to 10 years of public accounting experience with a focus on audit and assurance for venture capital, private equity, or alternative investment fund clients
-Hands-on experience with fund audits, capital account reconciliations, and complex partnership/investment structures
-Strong working knowledge of audit methodology, technical research tools, and Microsoft Office
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a track record of building and maintaining client relationships
-Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing a team of audit professionals
-Authorization to work in the United States (this role does not offer visa sponsorship)
