Job Details
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage audit and assurance engagements from initial planning through to final completion
- Lead, supervise, and develop interns, staff accountants, and senior accountants throughout engagements
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with clients across assigned engagements
- Identify opportunities to add value to clients and drive process improvements within engagements
- Ensure all work meets GAAP, GAAS, and firm quality standards
- Participate in firm-wide initiatives and contribute to specialized industry niche teams
You Should Have Most of the Following
- Active CPA license (required)
- 3 to 8 years of public accounting experience in audit and assurance
- Strong technical knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and financial reporting standards
- Demonstrated experience supervising and developing audit staff
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a client service orientation
Nice to Have
- Prior audit experience serving nonprofit organizations
- Experience with employee benefit plan (EBP) audits
- Background in construction industry engagements
- Familiarity with reviews and compilations
