Job Details
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Prepare complex tax returns across multiple entity types including 1065, 1120, 1120S, 990, 1040, and 1041
- Review work product prepared by junior staff and provide constructive, timely feedback
- Manage client relationships directly, serving as a reliable and responsive point of contact
- Identify issues within returns and apply sound technical judgment to resolve them
- Support workload management during busy season, which runs roughly 55 to 65 hours per week from January through April
- Contribute to a collaborative office environment, particularly on designated in-office days
You Should Have Most of the Following
- Minimum of five years of public accounting experience in a small to mid-sized firm setting
- Hands-on experience preparing and reviewing returns across all major tax types: 1065, 1120, 1120S, 990, 1040, and 1041
- Experience at the Supervisor or Manager level, or demonstrable readiness to step into that range
- Strong technical tax preparation skills with the ability to work independently and at volume during peak periods
- Proven client-facing experience with the ability to communicate clearly and build trust
- Background in a generalist or multi-service tax environment rather than a siloed specialty practice
