Job Details
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Review complex individual, fiduciary, partnership, and private foundation returns covering alternative investments, equity compensation, QSBS, venture capital, and carried interest
- Anticipate and identify client tax issues, delivering consultative solutions for wealth preservation, estate planning, charitable giving structures, and multi-generational wealth transfer
- Evaluate and manage multi-state and international tax considerations and filings
- Collaborate on internal AI initiatives and process improvements, and support external client proposals to help grow the practice
- Monitor ongoing changes in tax legislation and work with the team to implement updated best practices
- Mentor, train, and supervise Associates and Senior-level staff, maintaining high standards for team development and feedback
- Participate in the recruitment of new staff and interns
You Should Have Most of the Following
- Current and active CPA license
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation, or a JD or LLM
- 6 to 10 years of public accounting experience with a focus on taxation for ultra-high net worth individuals
- Hands-on experience with complex private client services, fiduciary matters, or private foundation consulting
- Strong working knowledge of technical tax platforms, research tools, and Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a track record of building and maintaining client relationships
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing a team of tax professionals
- Authorization to work in the United States (this role does not offer visa sponsorship)
